3.29.17 Prayer Prompt: Do Not Be Afraid

PRAYER PROMPT ••• There’s a meme circulating on the internet that claims that the Bible says “do not fear” or “do not be afraid” 365 times.

While this is a lovely sentiment, my research does not confirm this.

However, the Bible does say it often enough that we should live it every day — even if there isn’t a passage for every calendar day of the year.

 God is in control!

 He’s got this!

No matter how big your problem, we serve a God who is bigger than it all, so why should we be afraid?

The Psalmist wrote, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1).

Ask your Heavenly Father to remind you of this when you’re tempted to be afraid.

Ask Him to help you trust in Him, to lead a fearless life of faith, rooted in the absolute, unshakable truth that God will never let you down.

NOTE: Feel free to comment, but these prayer prompts are meant to be between you and God. Matthew 6:6 — But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
